About Christine
Christine Johnston is a self-shooting Producer/Director, based in Glasgow. After 10 years in factual TV, as a Producer and short-form director, she was accepted onto BBC Scotland and Screen Scotland’s Emerging Directors scheme in 2022. Her first documentary for BBC Scotland ‘My Husband the MMA Fighter’ was picked up for TX on BBC One, and is nominated for Best Sports Documentary at the Celtic Media Festival 2024.
Since then, she has directed five episodes of David Wilson’s Crime Files: Scams and Scandals for BBC Scotland, and worked across content for Channel 5, BBC Sounds and BBC Scotland.
